IFMA Chesapeake Chapter members gathered at MC Dean for the September meeting. What a unique venue! The company renovated a warehouse in Baltimore's historic Sharp-Leadenhall into a state-of-the-art LEED Gold building, and coalesced the vintage and modern into a comfortable, interesting space. The building is over 100 years old and you would never imagine it was used at one time to manufacture pot ash and plywood. Tours of the building revealed the original wood and steel beams, and exposed brick walls, accenting the modern décor and technology.
Brad Foxwell of Tate Engineering gave a very interesting presentation on the various services and systems they offer. Tate installs and maintains systems for healthcare and industrial locations, among others. Brad shared with the members the operation and maintenance of these systems. He covered preventive and predictive maintenance for chiller systems, roof top systems, HVAC, pumps and filtration, and showed how this influences the bottom line for the client.
If you did not attend, you missed some great take aways! Check the calendar of events and make plans to attend future meetings for always informative presentations, fellowship and networking with your fellow IFMA members.
